Mercy Komar, CIC has been a Certified Insurance Counselor since l997 and has amassed over 500 hours of advanced insurance education. She is a member of the faculty of the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research, for whom she teaches insurance topics in the Midwest.
A risk manager specialist for garage and cyber risks at L. Calvin Jones Insurance in Canfield, she has acted as speaker for Lunch and Learns, along with presentations to business associations and client groups for CPA’s. Currently testing to become the area’s first Certified Cyber Risk Manager, she will be speaking this fall in Toronto, Canada to a residential investment organization regarding insurance placement for rental properties in the US.
A past Athena nominee and Insurance Woman of the Year, she is a member of the Mahoning Valley Real Estate Investors Association, Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Youngstown Symphony Society and President of the Board of Directors of Fish Samaritan House and a past president of the Trumbull County Independent Insurance Agents.
